The
stance of the Chinese government on the non-proliferation
issue is serious, earnest and active, Foreign Ministry
spokesman Liu Jianchao said at a regular press conference
held here Tuesday.
In response
to a question, he said the Chinese government has put in
place regulations or measures on four aspects: Regulations
on Export Control of Missiles and Missile-related Items and
Technologies, promulgated in August this year; Regulations
of the People's Republic of China on Export Control of
Dual-use Biological Agents and Related Equipment and
Technologies, promulgated on Oct. 14; a set of revised
regulations governing theexport control of military goods,
promulgated on Oct. 15; and the Measures of the People's
Republic of China on Export Control of Certain Chemicals and
Related Equipment and Technologies, promulgated on Oct. 18.
These serial activities show
that the Chinese government is sincere in its
non-proliferation stance and its attitude is serious and
earnest, the spokesman said. Enditem
