At the invitation of Premier Zhu Rongji of the State Council, Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder of the Federal Republic of Germany, will pay an official visit to China from 31 October to 2 November. During the visit, President Jiang Zemin will meet with Chancellor Schroeder. Premier Zhu Rongji will hold talks with Chancellor Schroeder. The two sides will exchange views with each other on bilateral ties, the current international situation and other questions of common interest.
